Biodiversity is an important foundation for human survival and development. It is the bloodline and foundation of the Earth’s life community. The theme of this year’s International Biodiversity Day is “Building a Community of Life on Earth”, which reflects the common voice of the international community to protect biodiversity.
By participating in the “Colorful World” International Youth Painting Exhibition jointly organized by Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and other organizations, THIS students showed the colorful world through their eyes. Using the language of art, we hopeto motivate families and friends to protect biodiversity together.
THIS Art teachers, Ms. Gao Xiaoyun and Ms. Ma Ying, organized students to create wonderful paintings. The students engaged in the creative process by presenting their ideas gradually through visualization. They generated ideas and thoughts, drew many sketches, as well as spent time researching environmental protection, ocean pollution, garbage classification, sustainable use of resources, etc. The students also considered the integrity of a picture and its rich expression in terms of composition, color, shape, line, sparseness, and details. They hope that their artistic creation will resonate with people triggering thinking and positive action.
We will exhibit all the students’ artworks in two sections. Let’s enjoy them together and join in protecting biodiversity!
