From THIS, Irvan chose the École hôtelière de Lausanne (now EHL Hospitality Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland) for his undergraduate studies. He then worked at a hotel brokerage firm in London before moving to Bangkok to focus in real estate investments responsible for the acquisition and development of hospitality real estate assets in the APAC and EMEA regions.
Not forgetting his inner interest in science and technology, Irvan now applies his talents, experiences, and core values that he learned at THIS in the field of FinTech. In the past four years, Irvan has been involved in the World Economic Forum’s youth initiative Global Shapers Community, a global network of more than 10,000 changemakers under 30 working together to address local, regional, and global challenges.
Within less than a year, he was appointed to be a part of the governance team in the Bangkok Hub, and within 1.5 years he was elected as the Curator (President), overseeing the collaboration of over 40 volunteers to drive social projects in Thailand across four impact areas: health, education, sustainability, and COVID-19. During COVID, the team created three COVID relief projects, raising US$95,000 and impacting over 15,000 lives.
In 2023, Irvan was one of two Shapers selected to represent Southeast Asia – and part of the larger #Davos50 delegation – at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. He also attended the Special Address by Mr.Liu He, previous Vice-Premier of the People’s Republic of China, at the Forum.
From THIS to the world, Irvan has broadened the boundaries of his abilities and has become an international leader with a global vision and responsibility. This is what THIS wants for all of our students.
