Come Meet University Representatives from Finland

By 2024年10月19日

What do you know about Finland besides being the home of Santa Claus? Finland has been recognized as the “happiest country in the world” for seven consecutive years (2018-2024) in the UN Happiness Index. Finnish education is known for its “light load and high quality” and is referred to by many as “happy education”. They emphasize the importance of connecting curriculum to the realities and focusing on the holistic development of students. Do these ideas sound familiar?

Tsinghua International School holds a similar educational philosophy and always keeps an open mind, actively absorbing the excellent educational experiences from all over the world. This goal cannot be achieved without the strong support and cooperation of our dear students and parents.

Under the guidance of the Embassy of the Republic of Finland in the People’s Republic of China, the Alliance of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences China-Network and seven Finnish universities will visit Tsinghua International School on October 30th. In the morning, the Finnish Education Counselor will hold a closed-door discussion with the leaders of Tsinghua University High School and THIS.

In the afternoon, representatives of Finnish universities will have in-depth conversations about education with THIS high school students and invited parents. We are looking forward to colliding the sparks of wisdom in education from the Finnish education model and philosophy together.

Why do people call Finnish education a “happy education”?

What are the basic requirements for applying to Finnish universities?

What are the characteristics and specialties of Finnish universities?

What can we learn from Finnish education?
