三战三捷  Three of three!

在经过了之前短暂的停顿之后，国际部的体育活动又回到了常规的节奏! 学校有幸在3月4日（周六）组织了ISAC（北京国际学校体育协会）U14排球男子组决赛的其中一场。而我们的排球女队也在城市的另一边，坚持不懈地奋战在球场上。

随着春天的降临，国际部的三支排球队伍也分别带来了好消息，为国际部大家庭带来了激情与欢乐。

After many halts and interruptions, sports are back to THIS! Our school was privileged to organize one of ISAC U14 boys’ final tournaments this Saturday, March 4.  And on the other side of the city, our girls’ teams had their own battles on the court. 

Like the Spring, these three teams announced better days and brought joy and excitement to the THIS community.  

我们的初中男子排球队在斯巴达精神的鼓舞下奋力拼搏，坚持不懈，取得了球队首胜，最终获得了第三名的好成绩。

在鼎石学校，我们的初级女子排球校队倾注了她们全部的汗水和努力，实现了她们梦想已久的目标，最终，她们捧回了第三名的奖杯，令我们所有人都感到骄傲！

作为这个周末的完美收尾，我们的U14女子排球校队在北京世青国际学校的比赛中，在面对强大对手时不甘示弱，最终在比赛中获得了第三名的成绩。

Our boys’ volleyball team fought and persevered with the Spartan spirit to take the team’s first ever win and ultimately earning a trophy for 3rd place! 

At Keystone, our girls’ JV team poured their sweat and blood to achieve something they have been dreaming about for quite some time.  Proudly, they also earned a 3rd place trophy! 

And to round a successful weekend for our athletes, our U14 Varsity girls’ team competing at the Beijing World Youth Academy took home a trophy of 3rd place playing against strong and motivated teams.

就这样，踏着春天的鼓点，我们的排球队员们发球、撞球、拦网和扣球，三战三捷！！！

Just like that, with the kick-off of the Spring, our volleyball teams served, bumped, set and SPIKED!!! 3 out of 3!!!

上周六，国际部的5名运动员在鼎石学校参加了乒乓球比赛，其中有4名高中生参加了U19比赛，1名学生参加了U14比赛。参赛队员分别是Jacky Zhao, Mia Han, Alex Zhang, Robert Zhang和Howard Zhang，他们分别参加了不同组别和轮次的激烈比赛。 

THIS had 5 representatives at Keystone, four high school students in U19 and one student in U14 competition, over the weekend.  Jacky Zhao, Mia Han, Alex Zhang, Robert Zhang, Howard Zhang competed in various rounds of intense play.

Alex Zhang和Robert Zhang一路冲关到循环赛，Howard Zhang挺进了四分之一决赛。在14岁以下组别的比赛中，Jacky Zhao最终赢得了亚军，为观众们呈现了一场激烈的比赛，最终分数接近。而在6轮单打比赛后，Mia Han以5胜1负夺得了女子银牌的好成绩！在单打和双打比赛中，我们的运动员们都展示出了他们的决心和技能，收获了一段美好的经历。

Alex Zhang and Robert Zhang finished their competitions after round-robin pool matches and Howard Zhang advanced to quarter-finals. In U14, Jacky Zhao got through his pool as a runner-up and played a very close match.  In singles and doubles play, our student athletes showed their determination and skills taking away a wonderful experience.  And after 6 rounds of her singles matches, Mia Han took home the ladies’ silver medal with 5 wins and 1!

What table tennis excitement!  Congratulations to our students. 

对于我们三年级的小斯巴达女孩们来说，这次的手球比赛是一次非常美妙的经历！虽然这是小朋友们第一次打手球，但是她们的表现充分证明了她们的勇气和接受挑战的能力。

What a fantastic experience for our youngest (G3) Lady Spartans! Playing handball for the first time ever is proof that they are courageous and accepting challenges all around. 

3月9日，THIS女子运动队接待了四所来访的学校（BCIS、BWYA、HARROW、YCIS）来到清华附中国际部进行手球比赛，他们的到来为我们的运动员们注入了新的活力。

The THIS girls’ team hosted four visiting schools (BCIS, BWYA, HARROW, YCIS) last Thursday, March 9th, kicking off a new trend for our youngest athletes at THIS. 

与此同时，小学的男生运动员们也在城市的另一边（BCIS）的运动场上收获了快乐的运动体验，充分发挥着他们的斯巴达体育精神。

All the while, our primary boys also had their fun experience on the other side of the city (BCIS) showcasing their Spartan Spirit.

通过手球比赛，我们的小运动员们向我们展示了如何积极地采取行动，以及如何在事情发展不顺利时坚持不懈，不轻言放弃。在运动员们的背后，所有的同学们和老师们也在全力支持着他们：横幅、海报，还有场上响亮的口号，为这精彩的一天再添色彩！

Our athletes showed us how to take initiative and how to stand tall even when things are not going our way.  They definitely have full support from their classmates and teachers. Banners, posters and even chants added to already wonderful day!
