Amidst the golden ginkgo leaves of Tsinghua campus, Tsinghua International School (THIS) hosted its Parent-Teacher Conference—a warm gathering that strengthened the bonds of our learning community.

In the primary division, teachers demonstrated remarkable insight into each child's character. "She may be quiet, but her kindness stands out," one teacher shared, noting how a student consistently helps classmates during group activities. These detailed observations showed parents their children are truly seen and valued—not just academically, but as complete individuals.
In the secondary division, conversations focused on guiding students' growth. Teachers discussed not only academic performance but also emerging passions and personalities. A Grade 10 physics teacher described a student who challenges concepts with genuine curiosity: "We had a fascinating debate about quantum theory last week, and he returned the next day with additional research. That intellectual passion is what we nurture." Parents appreciated hearing specific examples of how teachers are tailoring their approach to each student's learning style and interests.

During lunch breaks, parents attended valuable seminars. In the first session, Tsinghua University's ZiJing College representatives provided concrete examples of their project-based learning approach, showcasing student innovations in robotics and environmental science.
The second session, given by Associate Director of College Counselling Ms. Amy Zou and Assistant College Counselor Mr. Reagan Li, walked Grade 9 parents through a detailed four-year planning timeline, emphasizing how current course selections connect to future university pathways.
The conference reinforced our education and our community when home and school work together. As the day concluded, parents lingered in hallways, exchanging ideas with each other. At THIS, we're not just building academic skills; we're nurturing unique individuals within a supportive community where every student can find their path and shine, supported by this network of caring adults who know them deeply and believe in their potential.
