Dear Parents,

We would like to invite you to meet with the teachers of Tsinghua International School to discuss your children’s academic performance, their behavior, and their overall progress so far this year. We have scheduled an afternoon/evening dedicated to parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, October 15, 2009. The conferences will begin at 2:00 PM and end at 7:00 PM.

We would request that you contact teachers directly to schedule your meetings with them. They will prepare sign-up sheets and do their best to accommodate your scheduling needs. Individual conferences will last between 10 and 15 minutes. You may want to meet with all of your child’s teachers, or you may prefer to meet only with the teachers of classes for which you have specific concerns. All teachers and administrators will be available to meet with you that day.

In addition, parents of Grade 9-12 students (High School) are invited to attend an orientation meeting for the College Counseling Program at THIS. This will be held from 7:15-8:15 PM, directly following the parent-teacher conferences. You will meet the College Counselor of THIS, and be introduced to the college and university application process.

The regular bus schedule will be modified on this Thursday to allow an early departure. All buses will leave school at 2:10 PM. We will, however, make arrangements to accommodate those students who are not able to return home at that time. We look forward to seeing you all on October 15, and we hope that you will all be able to attend.
